Board of Directors Meeting
The last Pause4Kids Board of Directors meeting was held on February 11, 2008, 7:00 PM at the residence of Board of Directors member, Patricia Turney, in Camarillo, CA. Here is a report on BOD activities for the month.
- The Board expressed much appreciation for Mark and Stephanie Batarse for their many years of service on the PAUSE4kids Board of Directors and the many roles they undertook.
- The BOD eas again updated on the status of our sponsorship of the Normal People Scare me soundtrack. Susan Baukus attended the recording at Capital Records on January 29, 2008. In addition to the music from the film, the soundtrack includes a rendition of “What a Wonderful World”.
- Beth Sanders reported as our new accounting oversite chairperson. She has reviewed some of our records, and making good progress toward getting our bookeeping in order.
- Preparation for the screening of the film "The Sandwich Kid at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza on April 11, 2008 is progressing well. A number of co-sponsors are being recruited. Doors will open at 5:30 PM. The screening, and other performances will begin at 7:30 PM. There will be information booths from various community service providers. The special needs artists art silent auction will probably be held in the Founder’s Room.
- Pause4Kids will take the opportunity, during this screening event, to honor persons making great contributions to the "special needs" community. Many nominations were made by Board members.
- Pause4Kids will again participate in the City of Thousand Oaks Arbor Day events on April 19, 2008 with the Art-A-Thon activities. Thanks again to Susan Bauckus for spearheading this project. All Board members available will be needed to help with this event.
- May 2007 is still the anticipated date when we will hold our annual Advocacy Seminars.
